COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT & OPPORTUNITIES

Bedford's Olde Towne Day
Every, September Lamb's participates at Bedford's Olde Towne Day event. This is a great opportunity to catch-up with what is going on at Lambs, as well as meet the Director and Board Members if you are a newcomer to our area! This past year's event was held on September 11th from 10-3. (See Bedford website for details on this event or others).
Koffee & Krayons
We also participate in the Koffee & Krayons Resource Fair event (hosted by the Bedford Parks & Recreation Dept) at our Bedford Town Hall, where many local preschools/Kindergartens, and day-cares gather to make themselves known to parents of young children. This is another excellent resource for new parents and newcomers to take advantage of. CLICK HERE FOR BEDFORD RECREATION & EVENTS
In addition to these community events, Lambs families participate in the annual OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD shoebox gift drive by Samaritan's Purse, as well as numerous New Horizons Food Pantry drives/donations. For more information on how you can become more involved, please contact a board member or the main office. |

PARENT VOLUNTEERS
From time to time, the Lamb's board members will ask for assistance from Lamb's parents who wish to become more involved in the school during the course of a given year. We have been blessed in past years to have parents with varying talents come along side us and help out where their gifts and talents shined most. Some areas in which our parent volunteers help are in the following areas:
- Parent Coffee Hours
- Organize Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan's Purse)
- Host and organize Teacher Appreciation Day
- Assist with the logistics of fundraisers and/or events
- Advertise within the school with poster and other means
For more information, feel free to contact one of the Board members or the Main Office.
OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP LAMBS . . .
There are many ways in which to help the school during the course of the year that take very little time, but can make a big impact when everyone pitches in. Here are several ways that you can help:
- Collect your BOX TOPS for EDUCATION. We have a small basket outside of our main office in which to place the BOX TOPS that you collect. (Please make sure they have not expired and are neatly clipped out). To learn more you may visit their website at btfe.com. The money raised is used where most needed to improve and enrich our school and it's programs.
- Use your TARGET CARD. If you happen to use a Target credit card, you can designate this school as one of the recipients of up to 1% of your purchases through their Take Charge of Education program. It does not sound like much, but every little bit counts. In this way we are able to raise funds for the school with very little inconvenience to yourself. Just visit target.com/tcoe to designate our school (The Lamb's Workshop school) - our ID number is #151229. You can also track our school's fundraising in this area by visiting the same site.
LOCAL BUSINESSES also have been a huge help in our fundraising in past years.
- STOP & SHOP. We raised over $700 for our school in 2010 through parents shopping at our local Stop & Shop through their Bonus Bucks program! To become part of this fundraising effort just use your Stop & Shop card when you check out. (Make sure to register your card online or with the Lamb's office beforehand). Remember, even if you have registered your card previously, you must re-register for Lamb's again this year.
- HANNAFORD. We have been blessed to have had a Hannafords built just down the street from us! (A real asset if you ever forget your designated snack day!) To participate there is not need to sign up. From September through early December, look for your Dollars for Scholars coupons when you receive your receipt at the register. During this time period there are receptacles near check-out stations where you may insert the coupons. (Look for the Lamb's Workshop slot to designate our school). You may also bring it in to the Lamb's office.
We thank all of our families who participate in one or more of these programs! Your support is an encouragement and blessing to the school.
